Very successful export for Burgundy
Supporting the companies of Burgundy in their efforts to export has increased over 2010. Patriat Francis, president of the Regional Council of Burgundy, was particularly pleased with these results in terms of enterprise development Burgundy internationally.
"I received the results of Ubifrance (French Agency for international business development) on support to export enterprises of Burgundy under the first ten months of 2010. They are clearly increasing: 407 Burgundy SMEs / SMIs have received support Ubifrance between January and October 2010.
The Regional Council welcomes these positive results: 36% of companies in addition accompanied this year. These are all new firms to export. This is a particularly remarkable performance especially as this figure falls to 13% nationally.
These results confirm the excellent partnership between the Regional Council of Burgundy and public actors - state-Ubifrance regional chamber of commerce and industry - and I encouraged that was expressed in an agreement signed in July 2008 .
They attest to the dynamism of Burgundy in the field of export. Following the States General of Export, organized by the region last September, I will move in January 2011 under the regional plan of action for export, concrete measures for development of our businesses to International.
