A new school for nurses Nivernais
The Burgundy Regional Council has acquired symbolic euro for a building on the site of the former barracks Pittie Nevers. The new IFSI will be installed.
The Institute of Nursing Education (IFSI) of Nevers, built in the 1970s, no longer suited to current pedagogy or the reception of future promotions of 150 health professionals.
Region, which since 2004 has supported the operation and equipment of schools and paramedical midwives, also participates in investments related to the rehabilitation or construction of buildings. It is for this reason that the Regional Council of Burgundy acquired for the euro symbol, a building of 3090 m² located in the heart of a decommissioned military site.
The transformation of the premises to accommodate the new IFSI, the only department and the second in the region to its capacity, will be co-financed by the Region, the Department, the hospital and the city of Nevers and the State .
The early work is expected next spring. The Regional Council will fund the new IFSI up to 5.6 million euros (out of 6.8): Rehabilitation and development of buildings, purchase of equipment and materials ...
