A new operator for the Technoport Pagny
The new private operator of Technoport Pagny (Côte-d'Or) was presented Monday, June 23, 2008. The opportunity also to explore the recent developments made by the Joint Association and the new organization in place.
The inauguration of the company Pagny Terminal, the operator of the Technoport, marks a milestone in its development. She takes responsibility for the operation and development of Technoport Pagny for 10 years.
What is the SAS Pagny Terminal?
Pagny Terminal is a Simplified Joint Stock Company (SAS) consists of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Dijon, Beaune, Saône et Loire and Jura, and the company Manuport, based on the port of Antwerp.
What is the Technoport Pagny?
The Technoport Pagny is a rear platform of European seaports. It is directly linked to freight line via Dijon-Bourg-en-Bresse, and also served by the road (A36).
Its ideal geographical position (in the heart of Europe equidistant from the northern ports and the Mediterranean) and its connection to the three modes of road, river and rail Pagny make an ideal hub for transporting goods.
It consists of a handling area for the transhipment of containers, a storage area for goods and waiting for a rail loading and unloading of trains by mobile cranes.
The Technoport also includes a logistics area of 150 hectares dedicated to the establishment of warehouses for the purchase or lease.
New development
Since 2004, the Joint Association has worked in partnership with the Waterways of France, to create a powerful and attractive. A major program of work was completed in 2007 and 2008:
- Improvement of access roads and internal roads
- Rail service from the port area
- Secure Site
An operations building will complement these developments soon.
Estimated at € 3 million and recorded in the project contract 2007-2013 State-Region These investments are co-financed by the state, amounting to € 600 000, and Europe (ERDF € 900 000)
The Joint Association of Technoport Pagny (SMTP)
It is chaired by Francois Patriat and composed of the Regional Council of Burgundy, the General Council of the Gold Coast, the community of common Rives de Saone - Saint Jean de Losne - Seurre.
Its main tasks:
- Manage and operate the port facilities and the internal network infrastructure, road and rail Technoport
- Promote and market the Technoport
- The operation and development of Technoport through planning and equipment.
- ZAC manage the Golden Gate.
