A special exhibition will be held at the Museum of Fine Arts in Dijon, October 12, 2012 January 28, 2013, in honor of François Rude and Sophie, a couple of artists of Dijon.

François Rude, major sculptor of the nineteenthe century, is the author of the relief of the Departure of the Volunteers from the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, a true icon universally known as La Marseillaise. Sophie Rude, portraitist of talent, has long been in the shadow of her husband.
The highlight of the cultural year Dijon, this exhibition of national recognized trace of these two artists, from Dijon to Paris, via Brussels. She will be accompanied by a rich programming and federate a large number of players cultural, economic and tourism of the city and the region.
