The frequency of the tram passing over this part of downtown (Place Darcy, Tremouille Boulevard) will be doubled to provide better service to users. Trams run every five minutes during peak hours.

The tramway, rolling stock, traction power, will not produce any discharge pollutant (CO2 ) And its noise will be reduced.


Train future professionals

The Burgundy Regional Council has partnered with state, local authorities, to job center and professional sectors to sign the "Charter of Partnership for the quality of employment and training within the framework of the tramway operation ".

Over a period of three years, the charter will create jobs, promote the professional qualification and particularly sustainable integration of people facing difficulties in employment. Note that in terms of insertion, 10% of working hours will be reserved for them.

The Burgundy Regional Council and its partners hope, among others, develop jobs "sustainable" in the construction industry, public works and parks, enhance the business and better information on training courses for young people, but also collect and respond to the offers from the companies concerned and provide assistance with recruitment.

The tram in figures:

  • 32 reams of 30 m in length (that can carry 200-220 passengers)
  • 20 km route
  • 90 000 passengers per day
  • 43 serviced sites and major equipment
