The service and heritage inventory
Identify, investigate, inform the regional heritage: these are the missions of service assets and inventory. It focuses both urban and rural heritage, movable and immovable. Global vision of the territory makes it a real tool for management and planning for the development of heritage and tourism development.

What is the inventory?
"The General Inventory of Cultural Heritage identifies, examines and promotes the heritage features that are of cultural, historical or scientific. (...). The region and the Corsican regional authorities are responsible under their jurisdiction, the general inventory of cultural heritage (...)» (Article 95 of Law No. 2004-809 of 13 August 2004)
The inventory is a systematic methodology which aims to study all types of assets: rural, urban, industrial, religious, artistic, architectural and urban furniture. The Burgundy region has entrusted the exercise of that power mandatory service assets and inventory management of culture, heritage, sports and Youth.
In addition to the heritage list and thus increase awareness of the artistic riches of the region, the inventory can provide expertise for specific uses:
- planning documents (PLU, ZPPAUP ...)
- protected areas (conservation areas, towns and regions of art and history)
- tourism and regional development
The documentation center
assets inventory and the public service provider, unconditional access, library and documentation, see the brochure of the Centre for download:
- The thematic and topographic surveys conducted by teams of researchers and photographers (movable heritage, industrial heritage, arts 1% in high schools, Regional Natural Park of Morvan, ...)
- A photographic and iconographic
- Publications of regional services of the inventory in the national collections (Cahiers du Patrimoine, Images of Heritage and Heritage Routes) or off collections,
- A general fund of art history and architecture, painting, sculpture, decorative arts,
- A specialized collection on the history and heritage Burgundy: books and academic studies,
- Trade magazines, regional and national
- Access to databases where national heritage records are regularly paid from studies of service & Heritage Inventory, as well as records of historic preservation.
The documentation center is open by appointment.
