The challenges of sustainable development, confirmed by the objectives of the Grenelle Environment, stressed the responsibility of the Region in the changes to be implemented to build the Burgundy of tomorrow. For all, it must be attractive and dynamic, certainly, but also equitable and sustainable.

The school is a space in the city where young people can say the size of both singular and collective belonging and beyond, their citizenship. Thus, the awareness of students to the challenges of sustainable development is crucial since it is these young citizens who will be thinking and build the future world.

By pooling their skills, the regional council and the institutions and all volunteers will participate in the preservation of their immediate environment and improve the "living together" in high schools, first, and more generally throughout Burgundy.

The commitment of everyone in this innovative approach is essential.

Propose an approach in schools:

  • Global , By taking into account all the components of sustainable development,
  • concerted With the mobilization of community members and educational partners,
  • perennial The institutions as part of a process of gradual and continuous improvement of their new practices.

Have clear objectives and achievable:

  • behavioral change on a daily basis teachers, administrative staff, technical and high school students,
  • implement the "right" individual and collective practices in the tasks of each and in supporting young people in citizenship.

Acting on four priorities:

  • adopt a more economical and consumer responsible water and energy,
  • preserve natural areas and promote biodiversity,
  • otherwise reduce and manage waste sorting, recycling and recovery,
  • fight against inequality, understand and respect the rights of all and for solidarity action.

Who can participate?

  • Public institutions under the Education and the Ministry of Agriculture, on a voluntary basis.

The space between institutions aimed at schools involved in the project is operational. This area of capitalization and valuation of "good practices" designed to help them define their action plan or multi-year.
