The Burgundy region promotes eco-design
For businesses, the environmental challenge and international competition are two major issues of our time. For a company entering an eco-design is a bit complicated. This sometimes means starting from scratch and think outside the chain of production. To reduce the environmental footprint of their product, companies can change their habits: type of material, quantity, packaging, distribution distances, length of product life cycle phase.
To carry out this program, the Burgundy Regional Council and ADEME have supported the creation of a resource center for eco-design in Burgundy Innovation .
Specifically, an engineer provides businesses with them on a cycle of 18 months with them to control their project from idea to prototype. As a true "coach", it occurs at regular intervals, they set goals and is at their disposal to help solve the difficulties. The intervention of an expert can, for example, be proposed.
Relying on a resource throughout the process and financial aid, the company is able to consider new issues. Should we invest in new equipment to accommodate the new product? Is it necessary to review the position in the market? What distribution channel? What communication for new product? How to protect my IP? So many problems that the engineer of the resource center can solve.
The continued presence and coordination of network partners is a real added value to the success of eco-design projects in Burgundy.
