Support for equity financing of companies in Burgundy
Francois Patriat signed Monday, December 5, 2011, with Pascal Mailhos, prefect of the Burgundy region, Aline Morancho, regional director of the Deposit in Burgundy, regional delegate of the ISP (Strategic Investment Fund) and Philippe Braidy, president of CDC Deputy Director General for Enterprise and ISP's in charge of SMEs and regional action a partnership agreement for a support to equity finance business in Burgundy.

This partnership agreement between the State, the Region, the Caisse des Depots et Caisse des Depots Enterprises, founding member of the Investors Club in Burgundy sets the foundation for a new partnership to strengthen the SME equity Burgundy.
Four goals were set:
- identify companies with growth potential, financial support for their development raise the status of medium-sized companies (ETI) or promoting growth in exports,
- mobilize all stakeholders in the financing chain (upstream identification, support and project financing) around a coherent regional strategy of harmonious development of enterprises,
- enhance the effectiveness of the support to equity finance companies Burgundy
- improve the capitalization of companies Burgundy, to enhance economic stability and guarantor of their capacity for development and innovation.
To achieve these goals, the partners have identified two areas of work:
- The deepening of the knowledge of the financial situation of SMEs Burgundy to identify their potential need for equity financing. A study, conducted and financed by the parties as part of the regional observatory of economic, will identify the relevant economic indicators for the monitoring of regional SMEs.
Based on this work, it will set up a Policy Committee consisting of members representing economic actors of the platform supporting SMEs, the regional director of the Banque de France. This committee is intended to allow a shared analysis of needs for financing long-term financing of regional businesses. It will also monitor the indicators defined in the work covered by the Convention and make recommendations with a bi-annual periodicity. - The second axis is the support for SMEs. This will be facilitated by the development of demand for capital (the Investors Club will meet four times a year), completeness of casework and follow-up (the platform supporting SMEs) and development of a digital platform for exchange between companies seeking financing and investors.
