To greet the victory of the Dukes, winners of the Coupe de France, Francois Patriat, President of the Regional Council of Burgundy, received Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Hotel de Region, Dijon team hockey club.
The Burgundy region is a partner of the Association Medals Target. Its mission: to raise public and private funds and distribute them as aids for sports and sports licensed in Burgundy, and likely to participate in the upcoming Olympic Games in London in 2012

The Regional Council voted in new funding to help the town of Louhans to build a multi-activity room including a dojo dedicated to the practice of combat sports and gymnasium.
The Burgundy Regional Council pays particular attention to promoting access to sport high school students, young women and youth with disabilities.
The Burgundy Regional Council has signed January 27, 2010, with the leagues and sports committees Burgundy contract objectives. These contracts reflect the needs and circumstances of sports structures in accordance with the guidelines adopted by the Regional Council. The objective: to support leagues and committees in their efforts to promote access to as many organized sports.
To contribute to the development of employment in sport, the Regional Council of Burgundy assistance associations "Profession Sport Burgundy four departments in supporting their activities in rural areas.
Because the sport must be a right for everyone, the Burgundy Regional Council strongly supports the practice of sport, amateur or professional. In this context, it encourages people with disabilities to grow through sports. In 2010, the Regional Council has spent € 32 065 for reimbursement of disability sport and disability sport licenses.

The association Equi-Sense Burgundy, Côte-d'Or, offers a therapy with the horse. Its goal: support, individual sessions, children, adolescents or adults with disabilities, social difficulties and / or relational.
Under the impetus of the Regional Council of Burgundy, the Olympic and Sports Committee Regional de Bourgogne, in partnership with the Faculty of Sport Sciences, has just published a book dedicated to Sport in Burgundy .
