The last session before the holidays was devoted to the execution of the 2010 budget.

Vocational training

The Region supports the effort of training companies
In a context of economic crisis and rising unemployment, vocational training becomes a real asset. The Region supports companies in the conduct of the territory of their training plan for employees. Two new companies are assisted regional AREFE: society nivernaise David Lange (specializing in the manufacture of furniture) and Turbine Casting foundry in Saone-et-Loire.

Free training for job seekers
Since 2007, to address staff shortages in the skilled paramedics, the Region wanted as training courses for childcare assistants and aides are free to job seekers. In September 2010, nearly 260 Burgundians should benefit from this measure. Read the article.

Search

The Region has extended its support for research against cancer
As part of its policy research and development, the Region intends to work in partnership with all colleges and major research organizations Burgundy. Elected officials voted support of more than 805,000 euros to fund new research projects .

High school

Free textbooks
Since 2004, the Region takes free textbooks for students Burgundy, they are enrolled in courses generally, technological, agricultural or professional . Free for the sector is renewed for the 2010-2011 school year. It offers students an equal access to knowledge and supports the purchasing power of families. Read the article.

Planning

Additional support for the urban renewal project in Chalon-sur-Saone
The Regional Assembly has voted an additional € 4.2 million for the redevelopment project of the conurbation. This brings the total commitment to regional € 9m for this single urban area.

Health

Creation of nursing homes in the Yonne and Saône-et-Loire
To allow each Bourguignon access to quality care in all parts of the country, the Region supports the creation of nursing homes. Two new projects benefit from regional aid: one in the city center of Cluny, the other Vermenton in Yonne.

The Region launched two calls for projects for biodiversity: one for the preservation of hedgerows (renewed annually), the other for saving natural environments called ordinary.
