Save unprotected rural heritage
Grants to restore
If development is part of the cultural missions of the Region, it had no compulsory jurisdiction in matters of heritage. However, the region will contribute financially to the restoration of major buildings of Burgundy and leads a very active policy of subsidy to the rural heritage unprotected for many years.

The intervention of the Regional Council of Burgundy is the preservation and restoration of buildings that are not registered under the Historic Monuments, witnesses and local history with a remarkable architectural quality.
It aims to help municipalities or associations of municipalities to carry out development work of water and structural work (roofs, towers, facades, plastering ...) whose urgency is demonstrated.
Region subsidizes restoration of religious buildings (churches, chapels, shrines and priories) and everyday buildings and community (fountains, bread ovens, coolers, halls, laundries, windmills, pigeon, bridges and walls ).
