Although the sport is missing from the legislative and regulatory based on the decentralization laws, the Regional Council of Burgundy in this area leads a proactive policy.

Sport contributes to individual fulfillment. It is a major societal issue that the Regional Council of Burgundy included among its priority actions.
Because sport contributes to strengthening the reputation of our region and should become a right for all, the Burgundy Regional Council strongly supports all sporting, amateur or professional, supports women in sports and endeavors to develop a range of quality sports throughout the Burgundy region.
Contracts objective
Grouped in the regional Olympic and Sports Committee (CROS) in Burgundy, about 70 leagues and committees benefit from aid to equipment procurement, staff training, high level and employment.
The changing conditions of practice and the socio-economic development of sport and the heterogeneity of different disciplines have led the region to offer league contracts signed three-year objectives.
These allow the sports movement to have a more appropriate management tool.
In a three-year contract objectives incorporates part of multi-year development plans of each committee or league matches and guidelines advocated by the regional council in sports that revolve around four themes (health, social , sports, school) and ten goals (development of practice, practice support women and measures for the integration of the disabled, detection of youth employment in sport, volunteer training, sportsmanship, sports equipment, promoting communication, Sustainable Development
operation)
31 leagues and committees and have signed contracts with the regional targets for the period 2010/2012 a total of € 2,517,420.
Leagues and Committees smaller scale, not affected by these multi-year contracts, sign contracts based on annual objectives operating aid, assistance in purchasing equipment and training support frames.
