Project Equivallée Cluny
Equivallée project was presented Sunday, May 25, 2008 at the Grand National Show Jumping de Cluny (71).

Financially supported by the Regional Council of Burgundy, Cluny Equivallée project is part of a development of the Burgundian horse industry, among the first in France after the Normandy. Cluny, Burgundian capital of the horse, since the hosts 19e century, the National Stud, the racecourse and the riding school departmental Saône-et-Loire.
Presented to the French Federation Equine, represented notably by Jacques Robert, Vice President, Equivallée the project aims to make the equestrian center national Cluny in Burgundy, by promoting the industry, ensuring its reach beyond the industry and ensuring consistency of projects initiated.
In addition to traditional sports and livestock Equivallée will coordinate and lead the horse industry Burgundy in all its aspects:
- Vocational training and integration
- Education and development of school activities
- Scientific research (in partnership with ENSAM)
- Social (horse therapy)
- Tourism and culture
- Économique.
The cluster was created in practice result in the development of facilities (riding Olympic career all time, but also parking, temporary cubicles, office space ...), link between the existing geographic sites (stud and track), and the development of events equestrian.
The horse industry in Burgundy:
- 26 000 horses representing 5% of the national
- 1720 farmers including:
- More than half are horse breeders blood
- 1 / 3 are breeders of horses
- 275 riding
- 15 500 licensed
- 4 racetracks
- 3185 jobs
