Participatory Budget students
Since 2007, the PB of the students (BPL) has allowed the realization of many projects designed to better living and studying in high school. Dozens of local amenities and educational programs are well established. For 2011-2012, the Burgundy Regional Council will support projects mounted around the theme of sustainable development.

Students to the real actors of high school life
In 2010-2011, 236 projects - volunteers from 83 institutions - have been validated. One hundred projects related to the theme proposed by the Region, "Restoration and balanced diet"
If the device offers students a unique way of learning about citizenship and understanding of the mechanisms of public decisions, it also allows the Region to spend more "effectively" a portion of funds earmarked for school life, spending meet the needs expressed.
2011-2012: priority to sustainable development!
In line with the new approach "Lycée eco-citizen and eco-friendly" (charter and regulations adopted October 17, 2011), several lines of work are offered this school year:
- Adopt a responsible and efficient use of water and energy,
- Preserve natural areas and promote biodiversity,
- Manage and reduce waste sorting, recycling, recovery,
- Fight against inequality, understand and respect the rights, the act of solidarity.
The selected projects (the list will be stopped early 2012) will be financially supported by the Region as part of a grant predefined, from 3150 to € 7125 depending on the size of the facility. Those relating to educational activities or stimulation of high school life are still elligible.
Note: the Region, as in 2010-2011, will assume the operating costs.
To date, 82 institutions have engaged in a BPL based on their "advice from high school life."
