Besides the re-roofing and painting, renewal of equipment and work up to standard, the CFA has not undergone major work since its inception in 1973. The dilapidation of the premises and the increase in staff between 2005 and 2008 have thus led the Center to present a restructuring plan in 2008.

Given the scale of the overall project (10 million), a first phase study was funded by the Region to restructure the division priority "Major work".
