Inauguration of the high school gymnasium Pierre-Gilles de Gennes in Cosne-sur-Loire
The gym, built near the site Chevenard Pierre, was inaugurated on Monday ast February 2010 Cosne-sur-Loire. It will be used by students cosnois and associations.

Two rooms, four locker rooms, bleachers for up to 200 people ... The students will cosnois take full advantage of this new sports equipment.
Cost of production: 3.11 million euros. Financing of the Regional Council of Burgundy 100%.
Work began in September 2008 for completion by end December 2009.
For high school students and associations
The gym will be used primarily by students from high school Pierre-Gilles de Gennes and those of the site Cosne-sur-Loire Challuy Agricultural High School, as part of an agreement signed between the city of Cosne, the Burgundy region and High School Pierre-Gilles de Gennes. It will also be available to sports associations recognized by the municipality after hours and periods of instruction.
An environmental
The building, with a total area of 1900 square meters, was designed taking into consideration the environmental and energy dimensions:
- The structure is built largely of wood.
- All premises are lit naturally. The roof opens to each pan to bring the light in the heart of sport spaces.
- The facilities are equipped with 650 m² of solar photovoltaic electricity generation.
- A double wall refresh active in summer and warm in winter and a low temperature heating is built into the ground.
- The thermal insulation of the building is provided by the outside, to avoid thermal bridges. The insulating glazing and low emissivity.
- Finally, the rainwater is collected and recycled
The Regional Council of Burgundy fully finance the high school gym Pierre-Gilles de Gennes. It represents an investment of 3.11 million euros.
