General statements of economic development

Nearly 200 partners participated in the state's general economic development that took place May 19, 2011 the regional council of Burgundy in the presence of Francois Patriat.

The event, designed to launch the process of developing a new regional economic development strategy (SRDE) for the period 2011 to 2014, showcased:

  • Burgundian economy and its challenges (C2R presentation of Burgundy)
  • economic context and future prospects (Denis Clerc, Alternatives Economiques)
  • stock of public policy and regional issues (RITZ Olivier, director of economics, innovation and the social economy to the regional council of Burgundy)
  • the daily challenges of business in Burgundy on the major themes of economic development (attraction, creation, transmission, internationalization, corporate social responsibility, innovation, sustainable development) through a roundtable with some business leaders: Expanded Metal - Yann Fouquet Néobat - William of Horsey; Filab - Cyril Hug; Rousseau Père et Fils - Jean-Marie Rousseau Fast Ring - Frederique Baulieu; Nicolardot - Jean-Claude Hernandez, The Sign of the Environment - François-Xavier Desertot.

Philip Baumel, vice-president in charge of economy and employment, concluded the evening by emphasizing the importance of greater consultation on the issues that will redefine the SRDE and the launch of the approach and organization of work.

Several working groups will meet from June to September 2011. These are available on the website I am undertaking in Burgundy under "News" . The final document will be presented in the fall.
