FOR ALL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Free textbooks

All students of Burgundy receive free textbooks. The Regional Council has initiated this action to alleviate the costs incurred by the beginning of the school families. High school students enrolled in general education, technological, agricultural or professional benefit from this device.

Gratuité des manuels scolaires

Promote equal opportunities in access to knowledge and culture, that is the priority of the Regional Council.

Since its inception in 2004, free books initiated by the Region represents an investment of € 17 million.

The Burgundy region wishes to pursue this system in 2011-2012. Vocational schools receive directly from the regional council a grant of 40 euros per pupil to enable them to acquire new books related to reforms (including the transformation of BEP Bac Pro in 3 years).

A real investment will be made for high school students enrolled in general education and technology. Students in first, such as Second in September 2010, will build the new works related to the reform.
