Station refurbishments
Although the Region has no direct jurisdiction and mandatory for stations following the regionalization of ESTs, finance, since 2003, with the SNCF and the State, a program of modernization of stations B, funded by European grants . Completed in 2010, this program has a general upgrading of the service station in terms of hospitality, comfort and passenger information.
Three new priorities
- Facilitate the access of all to the train
the Burgundy region, adopted June 30, 2008 a master plan for regional accessibility of passenger transport (ARDS) In accordance with the law of 11 February 2005 for equal rights and opportunities, participation and citizenship of people with disabilities.
At the national level
SNCF has developed a master plan for accessibility of national transport (ANDS), which includes five stations Burgundy: Dijon, Chalon-sur-Saone, Macon, and Nevers Migennes-Laroche.
After these two schemes, 41 stations of the network will be accessible TER Bourgogne, concentrating 94% of travelers Burgundians.
- Foster combinations between modes of transport (train / bus / bike / car / pedestrian ...)
The regional council wants to develop alternative transport modes, especially the B and bicycles. To facilitate access to train the cyclists, the Region's team stations covered bicycle shelters and closed, providing a long-term parking and protection against the elements.
Similarly, the region wants to improve trade between the different modes of transport in the vicinity of stations. Therefore it finances projects with partners from interchanges.
- Improve passenger information
To meet a strong demand of travelers TER Bourgogne, light displays have been installed in major stations Burgundy. They allow users to know the traffic condition in real time, track the movement of trains and information in case of network disruption. In 2010, 26 stations and halts were fitted on the axes Dijon-Nevers, Dijon, Chalon, Dijon - Is-sur-Tille and Dijon - Auxonne.
I-terminal
Installed in 18 stations Burgundy, I-terminals or terminals of interactive information, equipped with a touchscreen. They can find updated information on schedules, routes multimodal (networks of urban transit and intercity partner network SNCF national or international), services and rates.
