Festival of Southern Burgundy: Art in the Barn
Event supported by the regional council of Burgundy
The festival is back for its eighth edition. It celebrates the 1100 anniversary of the founding of the Abbey of Cluny in offering the adaptation of the book of the wonders of Peter the Venerable.
The festival of Southern Burgundy propose a medieval musical theater around eight stories of Peter the Venerable in eight churches of Paray in Cluny.
Reconstitution rigorous Beatrice Bern, composer and musician, will perform works medieval and some original compositions to the old and other instruments. The theatrical interpretation, provided by Martine and Maxime May-Chifflot Comazzi guarantee a recovery from a rigorous scientific study of the Latin text translated and adapted to the requirements of the stage space that churches can offer.
The atmosphere of the Middle Ages The festival offers viewers a journey that combines history with literature. Eight times restoring the atmosphere and spirituality of the Middle Ages.
