Festival Paths Arts
Event supported by the regional council of Burgundy
Appointments 30, 31 July and 1st August 2010 Festival Paths Arts to Authiou in Nièvre, dance festival of all kinds. This year, two events: an African evening with a performance of the company and the projection of the Awami shorts dance Seydou Boro and two days of performances and impromptu.

The festival was born from the will of Alfred Alert implanted around the workplace of his company, in common with its hamlets Authiou Soffin and Brushes, a center of trade openings and meetings between Artists from all backgrounds, so that all learning and sharing their artistic processes.
This alchemy is developed at several levels, through the performing arts in all its facets, but also by the exchange and direct contact with the population, realized by hosting artists Homestay, involvement thereof in the preparation, organization and hosting of the festival.
Programming, although focused on dance, is resolutely open to all stories, adventures professional arts, through the most varied forms of movement: contemporary dance, hip hop, acrobatics, circus, aerial dance ...
This year the festival will revolve around two points:
- an African evening with a performance of the company and the Awami projection of short dance films Seydou Boro July 30, 2010;
- two days of performances and impromptu on 31 July and 1st August 2010.
The Company Awam
Used in the greetings in Sereer Senegal, Awami meaning "they are there."
Association Act 1901 which aims at the meeting of peoples and cultures in the areas of RTAS and entertainment, primarily around music and dance.
The work of the company are based on an accurate knowledge of African traditions with a contemporary approach.
The concept of percussion is to emerge danced the dance of the percussion and let them express the musicality of the movement. Movement of drums and percussion is born dancing.
The company established in 2003 Awami product:
- The show Bo Gnew: Percussion danced.
- An exhibition of musical instruments from Africa (250 instruments)
- Creation: "Woy" currently underway around Leopold Sedar Senghor, Victor Hugo and Arthur Rimbaud available for the 2008-2009 season.
- Draft cultural actions towards young audiences.
She leaves today studio album recorded, mixed and mastered by Loic Garotin Jamet and Niko's mobile home studio. We find or rediscover the musical parts of the show and some bonuses.

dancer with Mathilde Monnier
In 1993, he joined the company Mathilde Monnier in Montpellier National Choreographic Centre. He then participated in the various creations of the company: For Antigone , Night , Stop stop, stop , Places away , Alliteration But does not mean following dance classes: "When it gets cleaner, it removes emotion. I went into the French system while preserving my freedom."
writer and director
Seydou Boro writing and directing documentary films on African creative dance: The meeting . 52mn. 1999 (Broadcast ARTE - 2000), and Ebony dancer , 56mn. 2002 (1st prize of the festival Vues d'Afrique 2003). Finally in 2004, he directed: That's Africa , Visas , The horse , Who cares , The crack , Short fiction films about dance from 10 to 15 minutes each for a total duration of one hour. In 2002 he wrote the play Exile in the asylum .

In 1992, Salia Sanou Seydou meeting at the School sets drama in Ouagadougou. They jointly founded the CREDO (Centre for Research and Exchanges drama). Chosen both by Mathilde Monnier for permanent dancers of his company, in 1994 they founded the company Salia nï Seydou. Their first work, The Century of the Fools , Established the same year, received the first prize of National Dance Competition in Contemporary Africa African creations (AFAA).
Salia and Seydou winners will be the second Choreographic Encounters of Africa and the Indian Ocean in Luanda and the prize will be "discovered" RFI Dance 98, with Figninto, the eye holes established in 1997, choreographed by Seydou (nearly 150 performances worldwide). Under the International Festival Montpellier Danse 2000, he assisted Salia Sanou for creating Taagalà the traveler. In 2002, Salia Sanou and surrounded by Ousséni Sako, he choreographed Weeleni, the call Performed by three dancers and four musicians from Morocco and Burkina Faso.
Since 2001 he is co-director of the Festival of Dialogue Corps (5e edition in 2004, 6e in 2006) which proposes writing residencies, workshops, meetings around a lineup of international dance.
For his choreography in France, Africa and around the world, Seydou Boro received in July 2002 the French Government the decoration of Merit of Arts and Letters. He was also elected Artist of the Year 2003 by the Intergovernmental Agency of La Francophonie.
