The Act of August 13, 2004 gives regions the coordination of regional economic policy. The regional pattern of economic development agreement is concluded with the State, ended in December 2010. In an economic crisis after, it's now up to the regional strategy for economic development (SRDE) which is being developed with partners for the period 2011-2014.
To help companies recruit from exports, the regional council funds 50% of compensation contracts LIFE.

Patriat Francis, president of the Regional Council of Burgundy, gave, Friday, January 28, 2011 the company Simelectro Longvic, launched its new policy to help exports and international expansion alongside Otokoré Safia, Vice-President of the Regional Council delegate to international development and export partners in Burgundy.
Burgundy has the distinction of being the only French region to have negotiated the testing of the provision of state services in foreign trade (decentralization law of 13 August 2004).
The economic agenda to the international I export Burgundy , Led by the Regional Council of Burgundy with the help of the state, and Ubifrance RCCI, aims to help companies Burgundy initiating a new approach for export. A cell export is responsible for preparing and monitoring the program.
Institutional partners and leaders gathered on Thursday 30 September at the Hotel de Region, to define together a pattern of export development for 2011-2014.
