EUR 40 million to renovate schools Burgundy
Between 2011 and 2014, the Regional Council will invest 40 million to maintain and renovate public schools to provide optimal learning conditions for all students.

Three priorities have been defined in the investment program:
- Improving the environmental quality of buildings and energy efficiency
- Taking into account the educational reforms
- The answer to the regulations on safety (electrical, fire, food).
Focus on green building
The work to be undertaken will incorporate environmental requirements, focused on green building and renewable energy. The insulation will also be improved.
Adjust to reforms
As part of the curriculum reform, new classrooms and new workshops will be created. Finally, in accordance with the guidelines for food security, kitchens will be restructured to ensure qualitative preparation of 50,000 meals served daily in the Burgundian chokes.
Starting this year, major work began in the four departments:
Côte-d'Or
- Construction of a boarding school with 100 places to Jean-Marc Boivin Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur (4 million)
- Restructuring of the school kitchens Etienne-Jules Marey in Beaune (1.35 million)
- Compliance and the kitchen area of the school in Beaune Clos Mayor (1.65 million)
In Nièvre
- Re-roofing of the school workshops Jules Renard in Nevers (750,000 euros)
- Construction of a storage timber for the young manufacturer of wooden tray pro technician, in high school at Mount Chatelet Varzy (70,000 euros)
- Expansion of the dining room of the school François Mitterrand in Chateau-Chinon (250,000 euros) and construction and equipping of a new dormitory (8.5 million)
ensive Saône-et-Loire
- Rehabilitation of the closed canopy of two buildings clerkship in high school in Macon Alexandre Dumaine (1.5 million)
- Restructuring of the local high school vocational baccalaureate Plastics Nicephore Niepce in Chalon-sur-Saone (215,000 euros)
- Restructuring of the boarding school in Digoin Camille Claudel (2.6 million)
- Construction of a high school gym Lamartine in Macon (4 million)
- Compliance of all electrical and fire the buildings of the Lycee Henri Vincenot to Louhans (2.2 million)
In Yonne
- Renovation of biomass boilers High School Chevalier d'Eon in Tonnerre (780,000 euros)
- Restructuring of the school canteen Jean-Joseph Fourier in Auxerre (4 million)
