To continue to support rural communities with fewer than 3,500 inhabitants in their development projects and habitat improvement, operations More Heart of villages , Future Villages and Eco Villages are grouped in a single device called ECO VILLAGES FUTURE
ECO VILLAGE AVENIR
Ensure the attractiveness of Burgundy in developing territories, in a process of sustainable development is the ambition of the Regional Council of Burgundy. The challenge is for Burgundy in particular to support the development of rural areas and structures adapt to the needs of the territories by encouraging new housing in villages and towns in energizing.
Committed to the rural communes of villages with Heart Plus and Villages Futures Region wishes to continue and deepen this support rural communities for sustainable management and development of these territories.
For better readability of its action the regional council has three devices together under one banner ECO VILLAGES FUTURE.
The objectives of this device are:
- to support rural areas (maintenance and hosting of new population)
- assist rural communities in their planning and housing incentives for the environmental quality
ECO VILLAGES FUTURE repeats three regional interventions: Hearts of villages Plus Eco Villages, Villages Futures.
Eco Villages
The goal is to allow Ecovillage municipalities with fewer than 3,500 inhabitants, who have never benefited from the initial device Hearts Hearts of villages or towns Plus, a project incorporating comprehensive rehabilitation of rental properties and the former planning of facilities and public spaces and revegetation. More than 900 municipalities are affected.
More hearts of villages
Hearts of villages is a real success since 1999: nearly 1,000 rural communes have benefited from the assistance of the Region to improve their living environment and create more than 2,300 homes. The Region will continue and an agreement with the 50 municipalities that have committed a preliminary study. In total, since the establishment of village center, the Region has awarded more than 80 million rural communes.
Future Villages
Since its launch in 2008, more than 140 homes have been rehabilitated. The 3 components of Villages future centered on rental housing (rehabilitation, hollow teeth and grouped housing) are maintained for all municipalities with fewer than 3,500 inhabitants, with strengthened requirements for environmental quality of buildings.
