An orchard in the historic heart of Autun
Francois Patriat inaugurated Monday, November 7, 2011, the orchard of Autun, established in the framework of Agenda 21 of the Community of Municipalities and financed by the Burgundy Regional Council as part of its 2009 call for projects "Orchard Conservatories."

Located in the heart of Autun, on two lots with a total surface of 2835 m², the orchard has 49 varieties of fruit trees and local old, planted during the Arbor Day in 2010 by School Students Autun.
It includes eight rows of apple and pear with three rows of crops will feed the grocery store the city's social.
The hedges of the orchard trees are composed of carefully selected native bees for their beneficial effects on the plant sucking insects.
Orchards conservatories are designed to preserve the local fruit varieties and old. It is also to educate the public about the conservation of biodiversity and sustainable development project.
The orchard of Autun was funded by the Burgundy region of up to € 8400 as part of its 2009 call for projects.
