Accessibility of public transport
The Burgundy Regional Council has adopted its master plan for regional transportation accessibility (TER) and a policy of equipping stations. In this context, it has held consultative meetings bringing together the various actors involved in the topic.

What the law says
The provisions of the Act of February 11, 2005 for equal rights and opportunities, participation and citizenship of people with disabilities require to make services accessible transport for disabled and handicapped, within 10 years.
It also requires each transit authority to establish a blueprint for accessible public transport services within three years, during the first half of 2008.
The regional council in action
The Burgundy Regional Council has developed a master plan for access to its regional transport services (TER) and equipment of the stations defining the investment needed for accessibility but also for intermodal transport. In this context, two consultation meetings were conducted.
The blueprint Accessibility regional transport services
The master plan for accessibility by the regional assembly adopted 30 June 2008 provides for the accessibility of 36 stations and rest areas by 2015 and implementation of accessibility equipment. It can be downloaded below.
A first monitoring committee for the master terminal accessibility was held Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Decize and brings together some thirty participants (downloadable presentation below).
During this meeting were discussed the following points:
- content of the draft master plan for accessibility of the regional passenger transport
- methodology of implementation and information on the progress of the scheme
- helpline for human B stations.
A visit to the facilities of the station accessible Decize equipped facilities for the disabled was held in the afternoon
