SOCIAL HOUSING

A wooden roof!

On one stone: the Burgundy Regional Council encourages the creation of social housing while promoting the construction of low-energy wooden buildings to better preserve our environment.

The Region hopes to facilitate access to housing for the poorest people in the lowest rent possible. This action for social housing is no exception to the priority of the Regional Council on Sustainable Development.

Thus, housing built should:

  • use wood so important in the construction (volume greater than 1.5 times the legal ratios)
  • use wood from local or from sustainably managed forests (FSC and PEFC)
  • have low energy consumption (equivalent to the BBC label).

It is also an economic incentive for prospective tenants who will see their costs under control and with low energy consumption in their homes.

For whom?

For municipalities, social housing organizations and public institutions of intercommunal cooperation.

How much?

€ 3,000 will be awarded per unit built.

For more information, see the help Social housing - Wood aid in the guide.
