A school of second chance in the Dijon

Francois Patriat inaugurated Monday, April 4, 2011, the school of second chance (E2C) of the Dijon whose goal is to upgrade and fill the gaps of those 18 and 25 years out of school, without a degree or certification.

Instrument of fighting against exclusion from education, which complements the platforms to support the qualification, E2C promotes the recovery of the experience, skills recognition, orientation towards jobs in voltage, mobility and access to employment.

An individualized approach to teaching

The teaching approach is individualized based on training needs of the beneficiary and built around five themes:

  • revive the personal dynamics by working on self-knowledge
  • reactivate the knowledge and desire to learn has enriched the general culture
  • promote access to cultural and social practices in particular through workshops
  • test and expand the horizon of professional opportunities by periods internships
  • assist in making policy decisions and formation of a professional project by the multiplication of experiences and support in efforts to starting training or in professional life
     

Training and work experience
65 beneficiaries should be welcomed in 2011 with a course average of 600 hours and 300 hours training in a company.

The Burgundy Regional Council has granted an aid of 174,553 euros (on a total budget of 399,106 euros) to the school of second chance at the plenary session on 24 January.
