A center of excellence public works, Côte-d'Or

A center of excellence designed to enhance the public works sector in Burgundy was inaugurated on December 17 last, at Chatillon-sur-Seine.

The objective of this center of excellence is to develop professionalized structures to better coordinate training and provide better access to employment.

This new structure will indeed work together on employee training, the job seekers and learning.

The new device, developed in close consultation with industry professionals and training centers of 21 and Greta CFPPA The Barotte, supplements the regional training for public works.

One pole, two sites
The center of excellence based on two antennas:

  • The site Barotte at Chatillon-sur-Seine (Cote-d'Or), which hosts the driving training gear (apprentices, trainees and students).
  • The platform for public works of GRETA 21 (Dormois site) for Roads-training networks in brief, construction of roads and pipelines. GRETA form of trainees from vocational training, employees and beneficiaries of contracts professionalization.

The Region participated to the tune of 812,000 euros (662,000 euros for the site of Barotte and 150 000 euros for the site Domois).
