The Meetings were held Monday, November 21, 2011 at the Hotel de Region. This second edition was dedicated to the valorisation strategy canals of Burgundy. Over 200 people attended this event backbone.

Under its jurisdiction in terms of economic development, the Burgundy region must define an action plan for the development of the economy and employment in the territories bordering the waterway. To stop the principles of the new regional plan for tourism development of the waterways, the Burgundy region combines, for the second consecutive year, all players in a meeting about the economic, technical and environmental.

It Francois Patriat, President of the Regional Council of Burgundy, who opened the meeting. Edith Gueugneau, Vice-President of the Burgundy Regional Council in charge of tourism and canals and Didier Martin, president of the Regional Tourism Committee also responded that day.

The first meeting of stakeholders channels, organized in September 2010 by the Burgundy region, helped launch a broad discussion on tourism development of waterways in Burgundy. Since then, two studies * on the economic activity generated around the rivers and canals of Burgundy have a better understanding of the potential of these waterways, thereby strengthening the regional ambition to make a real tourist destination.
